Συνδεδεμένα Δεδομένα: Μια ευκαιρία για τις ελληνικές Βιβλιοθήκες
Περίληψη
Τα Συνδεδεμένα Δεδομένα αποτελούν μια τεχνολογία που, ενώ εμφανίστηκε πριν μερικά μόνο χρόνια στο χώρο του Παγκόσμιου Ιστού, σήμερα κερδίζει συνεχώς έδαφος, κυρίως σε τομείς όπως η ηλεκτρονική διακυβέρνηση, η οικονομία, η βιοϊατρική και τα μέσα ενημέρωσης, γεγονός που αποδεικνύεται από την ενίσχυση -παγκοσμίως- της τάσης για αξιοποίηση των ευκαιριών που αυτά προσφέρουν. Στο παρόν άρθρο, μετά από μια εισαγωγή στο χώρο των Συνδεδεμένων Δεδομένων και των σχετικών τεχνολογιών, εξετάζονται τα οφέλη που προκύπτουν από την υιοθέτηση των συγκεκριμένων τεχνολογιών από τις Βιβλιοθήκες, όπου η εφαρμογή τους βρίσκει πρόσφορο έδαφος, και προτείνονται μέθοδοι για την υιοθέτηση της συγκεκριμένης ελπιδοφόρας νέας τεχνολογίας.
